How to help fight spammers!

One of the things I do on a regular basis is try to wade through folks who have joined the forum and see if they are actually spammers, bots or hackers.
However, you also have access to the tools to do a quick check on posters. You will notice that for every post, there is an IP address in the lower right corner of the post. If you click this IP address, you will come to a screen with a list of resources to use to look up the IP address. Click on the first on "Project Honey Pot" and you will get an analysis of that IP address that will reveal where it is in the world and whether or not it has been a source of spamming.
If you do this quick check and find a suspicious IP, report it to the moderator by clicking the 'Report to Moderator' that is right next to the IP address in the users post.
It's that simple! Together, we can keep the net trolls at bay!
